Laborsaver™
Vectorply’s LaborSaver fabrics are unique to the industry.
These heavy weight non-crimp reinforcements maximize stiffness
and strength with each layer. Engineered features such as Super
High Yield roving produce advantages unobtainable with standard
yield input:
Thorough
wet out improves fiber/resin ratios.
Drapes
and conforms like lighter weight fabrics.
Smoother
surface profile…less print through.
Better
secondary bonding.
Dramatically
lowers labor hours through fewer plies.
The reinforcements are available in standard and custom architectures,
offered in E-glass, carbon, aramid, and hybrids. Weights start
at 35 oz/yd^2.

use in heavy laminates where the design is driven by strength
and stiffness with fixed cost parameters. Pound for pound LaborSaver
improves overall laminate properties by building greater strength
with fewer plies, lower resin content, and improved durability.

LaborSaver™ builds stiffness faster. The
LaborSaver Laminate maintained equal weight, increased stiffness
and strength but most importantly reduced the laminate from 12
layers to 6 layers.
| Vectorply’s heavyweight
unbalanced quadraxial has almost twice the fiber in
the 90º direction than the 0º. This allows
for less deflection on the hull bottom of powerboats. |
