Job Description

Vectorply’s sales team is comprised of self-starters and motivated go-getters who manage and grow their assigned territory as a business unit.  Sales managers are responsible for pricing, product recommendations, and technical assistance for current and potential customers. States included in the Central North Region are: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. This position will also cover central Canada.

Responsibilities

Sales Territory Management

  • Aggressively grow the business within assigned territory while exceeding customer service expectations throughout the current customer base.
  • Expand Vectorply’s business opportunities through research and development of new markets and applications.
  • Support and grow relationship with distributors through constant communication and swift responsiveness.
  • Budget and control all costs and expenses related to the territory.
  • Prepare detailed sales budgets and forecasts for existing and anticipated new customers within the territory.

Technical Support

  • Recommending appropriate Vectorply fabrics for specific applications.
  • Becoming an expert of VectorLam (laminate design software).
  • Instruction of proper roll good applications and processes.
  • Assisting with closed mold demonstrations and conversions.
  • Maintaining presence in front of customers. Consider two to three days a week of overnight travel as the norm.

Ongoing duties

  • Work with Customer Account Specialist to track sales history and opportunities.
  • Prepare weekly travel activity reports.
  • Participate in weekly sales and engineering conference call.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Travel required: 50-75%
